Newest Progressive lens from Varilux Physio and Physio 360

The  Varilux® Physio™ and Physio 360 are  the newest progressive lenses available. It is so technologically advanced it's the first option to provide people with natural vision. Because of its new Wavefront design, this new progressive lens gives you clear, crisp true vision no matter where you look (near, far and any vision in-between) so you see the world the way it is, comfortably and easily.

Distance Vision

Distance Vision

The Wavefront Management System allows us to control the wavefront passing through the pupil in order to reduce higher order aberrations. For the first time the Coma has been reduced, thereby providing unsurpassed sharpness.

Intermediate Vision

Intermediate Vision

The Wavefront Management System allows us to keep the axis of unwanted residual astigmatism vertical in order to match the eye preference. Focusing is made easier and the area of clear vision is thereby increased by up to 30% compared to other progressive lenses.

Near Vision

In Near Vision

The control of the wavefront has allowed us to extend vertically the zone of stabilized near power. The eye can explore a larger area of the near zones without postural adjustments.

Hi Index and Polycarbonate

Thinner, Lighter, Stronger.
All lenses have an Index of Refraction. This is the amount that light is bent (refracted) when going through the lens. It is based on the type of material, the curvature and the thickness of the lens. The higher the index of refraction, the thinner and flatter a lens can be made.

Hi-Index lenses are therefore thinner, lighter and flatter than regular glass or plastic lenses. These new lenses have eliminated the old "coke bottle" glasses. The cost has come down as usage increased and these lenses are available in almost every imaginable prescription.

Polycarbonate lenses are designed from space-age technology. This type of plastic, which was used for jet fighter canopies and astronaut's helmets, is now available in eyeglass lenses. Polycarbonate has a very high index of refraction with all the benefits attributed to this  trait and it is also incredibly strong. Children's glasses, safety glasses, various occupational glasses and many farsighted lenses are made from this wonderful material. In many cases it provides the thinnest and lightest lenses available.

Transitions VI - The photochromic lens

Transitions VI plastic, high index or polycarbonate lenses respond to sunlight and darken automatically to absorb up to 80% of visible light. These lenses have been radically enhanced since their conception in the early 1990's. Now with the sixth generation, the colors change faster with excellent consistency and the range of color has increased.

Anti-Reflection Coating

Anti-Reflection Coating allows more light to pass through the lens thus reducing glare and actually clearing vision. The coating supplied by The Vision Center is 10 layers thick. Our competitors often offer only a 1 layer coat. Your eyes look better and you see better. Our competitors often offer only a 1 layer coat. Your eyes look better and you see better.

Lenses with Anti-Reflection Coating

Night vision is dramatically enhanced. Objects appear brighter and crisper but without glare. In daytime, anti-reflection coating eliminates most reflections for increased comfort and less eye fatigue.
